Urban Swinery. Wasn't sure what a Swinery was and it intrigued me. Looked it up and a Swinery is a place where swine are kept or a swinish condition or action. Love the play on words here. They smoke their own meat and all are house prepared. The sandwiches were very good!
I had the Asian pork burger so much yummy on it. Wasabi cream cheese was amazing. I had them bring me a little on the side and dipped the sandwich in it.
My husband had the pastrami. It was so much food. Kept half for lunch. The pastrami was the best we have ever had.
Choice of sides. Fries-hand cut, smoked sweet potato salad, blue cheese slaw or pasta salad of the day.
We had the fries and the smoked sweet potato salad. SSPS was a delightful surprise. The smoke was perfect and so delicious.
Love a good craft beer and it went perfect with the meal. If you are a wine drinker they have a good selection for you as well.
The decor was very well done. Indoor and outdoor street side seating.
The staff was all very friendly
Our last night in Pensacola. Going back to try the Go Pig or Go Home. And the blue cheese slaw.
    Well done Urban Swinery.

Okay. So. This place. SO MUCH YES.
My friend and I started with the Tamale balls and a bottle of the Paring wine. So delicious. The Tamale balls were tender and flavorful.
I got the Pig of the day which was the pork chop (and boy was it phat n juicy!) saffron rice, pico de gallo and enchilada sauce. I'm telling you right now it was a flavor party in my mouth.
    I was in heaven.
My friend got the chicken pot pie and I ate off of her plate as well. The pot pie was rich and delicious made with beautifully smoked chicken.
    Next....was the SWEET POTATO CHEESECAKE.
Made with a pecan crust. I almost cried with how good it was. I was taken to another place. Another world. Another dimension.
    Our waitress Candance was awesome!
So, thank you Urban Swinery for an amazing meal and a pleasant experience.

As I was exploring places to eat near Vinyl Music Hall, I came across Urban Swinery. I loooove BBQ so it sounded like a great place to try.  Urban Swinery does have BBQ but that is not an accurate description of it.  It is more like a sandwich-craftbeer-winery place.  The menu itself has one side dedicated to alcohol.  Unfortunately, I could not sample that side of the menu because I do not like the taste of alcohol. But I can write about the food.

Since I am a sucker for BBQ, I went with the Go Pig or Go Home.  This sandwich comes on a pretzel bun with pulled pork, andouille sausage, and pig planks (bacon).
For some reason, I was expecting a humongous sandwich, but it was the size of a big burger.  The pulled pork was tender and smoky.  It had a little of rhe Sweet and Tangy Mustard BBQ sauce mixed in.  The andouille sausage was grilled.  The sausage was sliced, easy to chew, and had a pleasant taste.  Bacon is bacon haha.

The waiter sold me on fries instead of the blue cheese slaw or sweet potato salad.   I was disappointed with fries because of high expectations. I thought they would more homestyle cut.  They probably were cut in the store but they resembled thick fast food fries.  They did have a good salty taste to them.  I should have chose one of the toppings to make them more fantastic. They did come with a red pepper spicy ketchup and a sweet, truffle mayo.

    Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet!

My date got the Roast Beef Down and Dirty.  It came on a hoagie with a good mix of gravy on it.  She enioyed it.

I have a new staple to eat at now in Pensacola on Palafox.

This is a great place to stop by if you are in Pensacola or close to it.  Be prepared to be amazed and have more than you can eat.  The menu is great.  The ambiance is perfect.  The service is phenomenal.  The staff is extremely knowledgeable on the food and the drinks.  They have a variety of wines, liquor and beer.

I ordered the roast beef down and dirty.  It was tender roast beef on a toasted 12 inch baguette with mayo, lettuce and gravy.  The roast beef was perfectly cooked and the gravy was thick and flavorful.  The fries were served with a truffle mayo, spicy ketchup and original ketchup.  I liked the truffle mayo.  The fries were fresh and crisp.

They also have an assortment of bottled sodas, including craft sodas and lemonade.  The prices are more than reasonable and you definitely get more than you paid for in the end.
